You have already crossed the first major hurdle. Learning before you buy.

Asking questions is a great first step.

Do you have any idea which watch(es) you are interested in.

Take a good long look through the chronoghraps section on onthedash it will show you
what the correct watch should look like. Also Arno's book Heuer Chronographs is a
great resource.

As for who to buy from, this is a great place to start and ask for references.

As far as dealers go, Jeff (the guy who built this website) has done a lot of research
for you. Check out some of the sites in the links section.

Hunting for watches is almost as fun as buying watches. When in doubt buy the one that
haunts your dreams.

Also, make good use of the search function. If for example you are interested in a silverstone,
search for that term and read EVERYTHING.

Ask questions and if you do the reasearch, you will ask better questions and get better answers.
The knowledge base here is incredible, make use of it.
