Has anyone else had contact from Wilson Carter
In Response To: Re: Warning to all collectors ()

I have also been contacted by Wilson Carter replying to a WTB in chronotrader and asking for payment in the same way as you have mentioned.
I too felt suspicious so i asked him for photographs and have not herd from him since. I dont want to blacken his name without evidence to prove it but i would like to know if anyone else has been contacted by the same guy.
Wilson - if you would like to introduce yourself to the forum we would be very happy to welcome you into our close community.
Thanks - Darren

-: Hi Paul,

: Thanks for your feedback it was a huge help.

: I have been flipping through the forum over the last month or so,
: trying to track down end links to fit an Oyster Bracelet to my
: Heuer 844. I've had a few suggestions for alternatives but
: nothing has really panned out so far.

: The below link is to my original post searching for end links.

: After posting on the traders forum I was contacted by a guy named
: "Wilson Carter" who after confirming that I was still
: searching for endlinks sent me the below reply. His email seemed
: a little suspicious to me and so promted me to ask about trading
: etc.

:

Hello Markus

: Wow ! You should count yourself as lucky because I was to sell mine
: that is originally from a Heuer Diver 844 in a mint condition. I
: was
: suppose to sell to a guy in Netherlands but he couldn't come up
: with
: the funds so I decided to keep it still. I'll will take a 120GBP
: for
: it as I will be shipping via UPS on a 3 working days delivery and
: will
: accept payment via Western Union or Money Gram. What's your
: complete
: shipping address?

: Kind regards,
: Wilson

: I decided to get a second opinon and so posted a query asking how
: much I should be paying for endlinks in regards to the 120GBP
: Wilson was offering and the general concensus was that it was
: overpriced and that paying via Western Union sounded suspicious.

: My initial thoughts are that this guy is not a legitamate trader
: but until I hear back from him with photos and references I will
: just have to wait and see. If anyone has had any dealings with
: this guy in the past any references would greatly appreciated.

: Wish me luck.

: Thanks,
: Markus
