Should I Install A Sapphire Crystal?

The original crystal in my 11630 is really messed up. It looks like someone tried to polish it and the result was that the crystal "hazed over" from a million micro-scratches.

I don't know where I'd buy a replacement mineral crystal, but I know a sapphire aftermarket crystal is available. Obviously sapphire is superior and would make the watch a better daily wearer IMO, but I'd like to know how installing it would affect my watch's value?

I know personally that a aftermarket crystal wouldn't bother me since it's just a piece of glass and not in the same category (in my mind at least) as a dial, hands, bezel, etc., but I'd like to hear from the OTD community.
