Great 2543 in black Amran!

I particularly like the gilt on black dial printing being reflected in the day and month wheels.

Very unusual to see in black too - despite the popularity of the 2447 in black at the time, the triple calendars were usually pale-dialled.

Jeff, I reckon this is definitely one to be added to the "40s 50s Triple Calendar Chrono/Reference 2543" photo section of OTD.

The 2443 too, I reckon. The watch in the 1940s chronograph section that is only identified as "1943 chronograph": http://www.onthedash.com/Guide/_Chronographs/1940s_Chronographs/1943_Chronograph/

is a 2443 as well. Interestingly, it's caseback is only 3 earlier than the one Craig shows, despite the dial showing signs of being earlier. It has a movement number of 450535, dissecting your 2447 and the 2443 Craig has been working on.

I wonder whether the engraving on the OTD 2443 is considerably ex post facto. Or if we should start considering the other watches as earlier.

I noticed whilst looking that the 1945 brochure on OTD is dated 1/1/45 but that it has a Swedish insert, Sweden having of course maintained neutrality throughout the war. Some interest in even the smallest points sometimes in this hobby of ours...
