2446C with red highlights - experts, I need your help..

I've been after one of these for a while, and I finally have one inbound.. I've been doing some further reading on this model, and it's production and general info seems a little unclear.

The OTD photo gallery shows it here http://www.onthedash.com/Guide/_Chronographs/62.Autavia/b.Manual--Snap-Back_Case/ (left column, 2nd row) and lists it as '2446C Later'.. but when you click that link, it takes you to a page that has the non-red version shown together with the red highlight versions too.. see here: http://www.onthedash.com/Guide/_Chronographs/62.Autavia/b.Manual--Snap-Back_Case/f.Reference_2446C_Later/

The OTD reference table lists it as "4th execution dial; 4th execution hands (matchstick, with luminous and black inserts)" but links to the photo page above, which is confusing, as there are 2 different models. The table also states that it is in catalogues '70 & '71, but they only show the non-red version.

The Bonhams-Haslinger collection contained a red highlight 2446 (lot 73), but that was listed as an 'early 2446C with Argentinian mil markings from 1969' The 1969 ref goes against the 'later' ref on OTD picture gallery.. See here: http://onthedash.com/Guide/_Auctions/Bonhams/2010_Dec_Haslinger/f_The_Watches/Bon2010DecLot73.jpg and here: http://www.onthedash.com/docs/BonhamsHaslingerTable.html

So, can someone clarify the information about the red highlight 2446C? Is it 4th ex. dial & 4th ex hands, or is that in reference to the non-red version - if so, is it '5th ex hands' which doesn't currently exist in the table?

This is the Bonhams example:

Thanks
Stewart
