5th dial & 5th Handset?
In Response To: Re: 5th dial ()

Interesting Paul.. so, would you describe the handset as 5th execution too?

Just to throw a fly in the ointment, the very same model was sold in the Bonhams-Haslinger auction, and described as "early 2446C with Argentinian mil markings from 1969".. so, is this an error in description?

Cheers
Stewart

: Hi Stewart
: It seems like you have uncovered a small discpency in the MSR
: (master referece table). This dial should be referred to as the
: 5th execution dial and the last of the Autavia Valjoux 72's. My
: example (now sold) has a compression case with plain caseback,
: fluted pushers and the dial with a red stipe at the hour markers
: which are the main change from the 4th dial. Hands are steel
: with black stripe. Serial on mine - 1452xx.

: regards
: Paul
