Heuer for Abercrombie & Fitch

Really interesting thread, and the image of the Zodiac painted over Heuer is fascinating. I guess if we saw "Heuer" painted over "Zodiac" we'd be screaming fake/redial, but I guess that is sort of a grey area...if it came out of the Heuer production line, how it can't be considered a fake/franken...

A topic for a related post later this week is the 2444 series produced by Heuer for Abercrombie and Fitch. We've seen quite a few of these over the years, and it is a no brainer that they were made by Heuer. But I've just received a very different looking A&F 2444. Pictures to come. Either it is from a different era or is it possible that A&F commisioned someone else to make the 2444s for them? Pics and questions to come later in the week. Jeff, maybe you can add as I know you like this era of Heuer A&F models as well.
