Re: Heuer Carrera 45 ref. 3647NT

Long time Rolex and Patek collector here, studying up on vintage Heuer in contemplation of a possible purchase.

In his post, Giancarlo asked an interesting question about the authenticity of this dial on the 3647NT he was onsidering purchasing last year, as reflected in this thread and his first post. His question-- which I don't think anyone answered-- pertained to the lume plot at the 3 o'clock (i.e. quarter after) position. The plot looks off. That is, it is not aligned with the 3 o'clock baton marker, but is a little higher, and actually directly in line with the 10 minute mark of the "45 minute register." This looks like it may be a sloppy relume job. If you look at all the other lume plots they line up exactly to the hour markers, but not the one at 3 o'clock. Is anyone able to address this issue and comment on the authenticity/originality of this dial. Also, would a 6.1M serial number of a 3647NT which contains the word "swiss" at 6 pm, but not the T in a circle (for tritium) be correct. I am wondering if 6.1M is too late a serial number for a non-T dial.

I greatly appreciate the comments of the experts on these issues.

Thank you.
