Re: IOMTT is epic *PIC*
In Response To: IOMTT is epic ()

Glen Helen can be a spooky place, it winds through a valley so it's often in shade and water tends to linger under the trees. Looks a bit like parts of the Nurburgring. Most locals know someone who came to grief somewhere around the circuit. The fact that you can ride / drive around the course outside race hours (without any equivalent to 'Ring fees !) with no speed limit on the long mountain section just adds to the appeal and we even have the odd decent hotel and eating place. Right, that's my bit done for the IOM Tourism Dept. Didn't used to be that much of a fan of the Silverstone but it's funny how these stories add to a watch's appeal - nowadays, as long as it's on a bracelet I could well imagine wearing one whilst trying to emulate Mike H or Clay R. But probably not through Glen Helen.
