When I Want a Modern Carrera

When I want a modern Carrera, this one fits the bill. It cost around $3,000 (over five years ago); runs reliably, within three seconds per day); and it's OK if it gets the occasional scratch or nick. If I want a different color or size, or different acents, I can just head to the mall, and have plenty of choices there.

: Here's an interesting posting -- Why I’m no longer a
: ‘vintage watch guy’

: It would be fun to have some reactions. One quick one: the very
: reasons that he cites for moving from vintage to modern may
: motivate some of us to stick with the vintage. Also, got to
: wonder whether a blog that relies of advertising from today's
: watch brands can truly be neutral on the "vintage versus
: modern" question.
