Since the SE with it's 10007 items probably isn't too tightly limited, I personally doubt that resale value will be an advantage. Get the 007 SE only if you are a hard-core "Bond" fan and/or know really that it is what you want.

The question for me would be "do I want to pay a fortune for a James Bond merchandising watch". While I like the applied hour markers on the SE, the 007 decorations go too far for my liking. But there are people on here who see this completely different. Your own mileage may vary.

The genuine 2531.80 is a beautiful design, and I don't think that the price for an SMP is totally over the top. Especially not for the 2531.80 with it's jewelry appeal. If you are fully aware of the practical disadvantages that an automatic chronometer has compared to any 10$ quartz watch (If you don't, read up on this!), you're going to be fine.
