With regards to "price/performance", the day/date with it's complications probably is the most attractive Omega.
You have to keep in mind, though, that the dial is stuffed with displays, and the monochrome black dial doesn't seem particularly readable to me. If I were to buy one, I'd get the 3520.53 with its instrument-like dial and colored hands.
I have the feeling that watch lovers don't estimate the day/date particularly high because of its movement and the lack of an exciting "been to the moon" story.
Personally, I think it's a great offer, if you can stand the thickness of an automatic chronograph on your wrist. I can't, that's why I ended up with a non-chrono Seamaster 300M.
