Bezel inserts might have been replaced with repair parts, but you are right to pick on that. Here's a picture of a real one, sorry I didn't ask for permission yet to use this picture but I will say that I once bought a nice 1040 Omega Chrono from www.watches.co.uk and they were very straight to deal with.
Note also size and shape of crown, tritium marker, second hand, etc., and that military issue watches will have the MOD marking engraved *over* the seahorse. Also, I find it hard to believe that any Royal Navy watches would have had the date window.
