Yeah, it is pretty amazing what once was fiction is now fact. Or in the case of the jet pack - was fact to begin with. I remember seeing footage from a military film showing them working with that pack. Who knows what they have today that we don't even know about.
I doubt we'll see cars mounted with hidden stingers anytime soon (even for a spy that's a bit extreme). But your point is well taken.
