Re: The Co-Axial Is Fine...
In Response To: Re: The Co-Axial Is Fine... ()

: I drive FORD cars, I use a PARKER pen, I wear
: HUSH PUPPY shoes and PRINGLE shirts and
: socks, I only buy STERLING pants etc. BUT I
: DO NOT TELL EVERYBODYS THAT THAT IS THE
: BEST. I LOVE Omega watches and I do own 6 of
: them but I do not get childish about it and
: call them my pets or "connies" or
: "sea dwellers". They are watches.
: Omega watches are not the best. They are
: just ordinary watches which gives problems
: like any other watch. Or may be even more so
: because you are about 7 guys who regularly
: post on this forum and 95% of the postings
: are about PROBLEMS!!!
: You want to know why I post here? Purely to
: annoy you. The only knowledge you have of
: watches is what you read in books...any one
: can do that. You are NOT a watch master, you
: are a only a good reader. The world consists
: of more than Omega watches only. Wake up!!!

What you fail to realize is that we post here, and think that our Omegas are the best. I would not change my Seamaster for a Sea Dweller any day. I would not own a Rolex or any other brand because someone else sees it as being better. I think (my opiniion, and my god given right to think so) Omegas are the best watch out there. I have owned Seikos and ESQs and Timex, but have never enjoyed any watch as much as my Omega. I am not trying to get in the middle of anything here, but I am afraid I already have. I find your posts annoying to say the least. I come here to read interesting info and opinions purely for pleasure and to learn something. I consider John a very rich source of knowledge and he personally saved me from purchasing a grey market watch (a big mistake) when I was starting out. I also consider John a friend and do not like to see him attacked on this forum, and very much like to hear what he has to say.
Simply put, we do not mind people posting on this forum with their opinions or problems, but when it seems every post innegative and putting other members of this forum down for their intersts, we get bothered.
It does not matter what brand you talk about, Rolex, Ford, Ferrari, Omega, they all have their problems.
As far as yout last comment about the world consisting of more than Omega watches...yeah we know. Omega watches are a passion for us, I personally consider my Omega a mechanial piece of art. Are you going to put me down for that? Are you going to put me down for my other interests?
I am sure I will recieve a rude posting or e-mail after this post. But I would like you to prove me wrong. Can you do that?
