Of course we all know Carlos that Omega watches are not the best in the world, and I don't recall any one stating so. However, Im sure that many owners of Vacheron, Lange, Patek, AP, GO, UN, also experience failures with their 5 figure++ watches. Problem with those is that most of their owners are busy getting their $200,000+ Ferraris fixed to care if one of their $10,000 watches needs service, much less do they care about posting their watch problems to these forums. We care about our Omega watches and post about our ownership experience, good or bad.
As a side, please provide us with statistics to support your claim that Omega watches have problems with MOST of their automatic movements. I doubt that most of the over 600,000 pieces made every year have problems. If this were the case, the company would have been closed many years ago. Couple this with the fact that the base eubache that Omega uses for its auto watches is the same as the ones that Breitling, and a host of other brands use, there are literally millions of similar type movements produced each year. Are you also saying that most of those have problems too. Please enlighten us on your insight to the Swiss Watch industry, as we would all love to hear it. If you want to contribute to the forum, then by all means do so. But blatant, outright undocumented false statemets such as this are not appreciated here. If you do not like Omega, then please feel free to take your comments to another watch forum. Im sure they would love to have you.
