I posted something similar some time ago.
You'd have thought I was blaspheming.
On TZ somebody asked what was the difference between quartz and mechanical and someone replied " this is my standard reply", showing 2 photos, one was the robot from metropolis labelled "quartz", the other a model in a swimsuit labelled mechanical!
Perhaps he accidentally reversed the pictures as everybody knows robots are mechanical and the human body runs on electricity!
I like to get my SMP out of the drawer and not have to wind it, alter the time if not worn recently or leave on a watch winder.(Whats going on there!)
I have a collection of old French carriage clocks but I wouldn't like their accuracy on my wrist.
