You know I was watching Goldeneye the other day and it's interesting that although the automatic SMP is heavily marketed as the "James Bond" watch, it is quite clear that the quartz version was used in the films (at least for some shots).
Personally I still prefer the automatic movement. The nice sweep hand really sets a fine Swiss watch apart from a $50 Wal-Mart Timex. I guess I also appreciate the incredible skill and craftsmanship that is required to manufacture such a tiny gears-n-springs machine that actually keeps pretty good time...
