Hi, It depends. With the gray market your never really sure where the watch came from. It could be sold by "backdoor" at the factory or the could be from an authorized dealer who needed to get rid of them. As far as the watch having problems, I have heard more stories about gray market watches having problems within the first year vs. authorized dealer bought watches. I have also heard horror stories about the gray market dealer not excepting the watch back because they claim that it's the wearer's fault for the damage to the watch. As far as the price to repair the damage varies depending upon the problem with the watch. It is almost always better to go through an authorized dealer then do go by gray market. A dealer is more likely to fix the watch vs. a gray market dealer. I hope this helps, Damon
