Re: Setting the time... how often?
In Response To: Setting the time... how often? ()

Don't you have daylight savings time or some equivalent? That would mean a change every 6 not 12 months. Addintionally, do you wear the watch 24/7? If not attempt to find an overnight position in which you can leave the watch to compensate for the slowness.

: OK. I've been reading the posts and the
: discussions/articles on accuracy from this
: site. I have the bond 2531.80 SMP and it
: clocks a very precise -2 seconds per day. No
: big deal. But, this really means I will
: usually lose a minute every month. Which is
: no big deal until I realized that at this
: rate, I'd be 12 minutes behind by the end of
: the year!

: Okay. Now obviously, I can set the time every
: so often to ensure I'm not that far off. Are
: there any drawbacks in setting the time at
: least once a month? Would you recommend
: this?

: I can also do it less often, like everytime the
: calendar moves from a month with less than
: 31 days... since I'd have to adjust the
: watch anyway. So this is less than 12 times
: in a year.

: What do you recommend? Thank you in advance.
