I guess I never even considered a Rolex. I have a Speedmaster, two Seamasters, a Tag and an Ebel all automatic and all gold. I bought them because they were asthetically appealing to me. I knew none of them would keep time any better than my Casio quartz. I like watches, and none of these have given me any problems. I get more compliments on my choice of timepieces than any Rolex owner I know. I don't believe that I avoided a Rolex to save a few thousand dollars.
