: My SMP GMT that I bought in Feb 07 has been
: awful with timekeeping gaining over 10
: seconds per day no matter what i do.
: I have sent it back twice and still there has
: been no change in accuracy. In fact the last
: time it came back it now makes a grinding
: noise when shaken gently!
: It seems omega customer services is not too
: keen on replacing the unit instead they
: expect me to send it back for yet another
: month!

Normally they can easily make an adjustment in 10-15 minutes at the dealership, so I am puzzled about it taking a month. Is there no dealer in your area? If you got yours delivered through the mail, I guess that would explain it. Still, this is normally an easy thing to adjust. Omegas are known for outstanding timekeeping, generally speaking. Are you using an authorized service center? Best of luck to you, this should be an easy fix.
