Aint that the truth mate!! Gotta love the portability of the modern point and shoot digitals. I do own one as well but the macro on mine is rubbish so I use my DSLR for all my good shots. That and the Canon has a pretty high megapixel count so I can still zoom in closer using photoshop or any other editing program.
One point I forgot to mention about my technique - you need to make sure the reversed lense covers all of the opening in the front of the camera body otherwise stray light will wreck the photo.
