Ah, my 1950's Heuer Ref. 345 is breaking my heart. A few months ago, it started running fast, as in gaining an hour plus a day. So off to the watchmaker. Serviced, demagnetized and regulated, it finally came home after a few weeks. It looked fine that day, and was put to the side. As I was still keen on my Glycine Airman and Sinn 203, it didn't get wrist time until yesterday.
So back on the wrist, set and happy, a few hours later it had gained an extra 20+ minutes. I'm sure the watchmaker will be happy to work on its some more (he's a good guy that way), but I can't figure out what he can do that he hasn't already done, and why this watch won't keep proper time.
Anyone have an idea? I would like to go in with some suggestions, rather than just dump it on the watchmaker and make it his problem. Thanks.
