Hello everyone...

It seems like a few of you have gotten it into your heads that the Heuer Discussion forum is the proper place to post For Sale, Want To Buy and what should be private messages in this public discussion forum lately.

Derek, Jeff and I went ahead and created a separate ChronoTrader forum last year for FS, WTB, Trade and other exchanges specifically for those purposes, and to keep the discussion forum for that, discussion. Likewise, requests that should be handled in public should be conducted via direct email, not publicly in the discussion forum.

Henceforth:

If you post a FS, WTB, etc. AD in this forum it is at risk of immediate deletion without notice, explanation or regret. If you have questions or would like an exception made so you can post such a request in the discussion forum, talk with Jeff and me first. We are open to exceptions. Trying to slip one in on us isn't acceptable.

Same thing goes for posting private messages in the discussion forum. In the most recent instance it was someone asking a specific person for a reference for another person who participates in this forum. These types of communication can and should be handled privately via email. Again, if you post a message of this type in this forum, it is at risk of immediate deletion without notice, explanation or regret.

There have been a noticable increase of both of these types of posts in the forum the past couple of weeks and you all know how I hate to have to put on the moderator hat. But I have to tell you, a few people here are making our little forum look bad. I mean the Chronocentric forum went over 6 months without a moderator and they were only having problems with anonymous spammers.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
