In Response To: Heuer Mareographe - ?? ()

the Mareographe used two different styles of hands, as shown below. Earlier hands were polished steel, with luminous inserts; later hands were solid white / aviator style.

2446C is the correct reference number for this case; they were snap-back cases; there were markings on the back, but they often wore off or were polished off. still, I have never seen one of these 2446C cases faked . . . there just weren't too many snap-back / waterproof cases floating around in the market.

We can provide much better information if you can e-mail a photo.

Thanks for your question.

Jeff

: I've noticed that the main dial hands on the
: Mareographe in the gallery are pointed on
: the ends. Are these the only hand they came
: with? I have one that has hands that are
: flat on the ends. After seeing the latest
: entry into the Gallery of Fakes, I'm
: wondering if I have a proper item. In
: between the top lugs is: 146128, and between
: the bottom lugs: 2446C, if that's any help.
: Also, the back of the case snaps on and does
: not have any markings at all. Do these
: things sound right for this model - or do I
: have another candidate for the G of F? Thank
: you in advance.
