I can not answer to the question of how many of them they actually made, but Jeff have 2000 Re-edition Catalog on the site.
have a look ! there is Ref. No. of the Straps on there. you still may get them from TAG - Heuer.
The Vintage Re-edition buckle should comes with the strap ! it used to be ca. 120 USD for lether strap for Carrera in Switzerland.
