so I bid something like $1,500, and it sells for around $2,550 (with three or four guys topping my bid), and here comes a guy who offers me the watch for my $1,500 bid. what a friend he is!!

I had previously swapped several e-mails with the seller, so I knew that he wasn't the guy making me the offer. seller spoke much better English!!

I suppose that the scammers get lucky in very few cases, but it is still worth their while to keep trying.
