Re: Restortion of a SeMP - save to buy?

Thanks for your respond!!

: Generally, I recommend avoiding a watch damaged
: like that. With such a watch, you are
: trusting that the repairs were done
: correctly. If the seller gives you no
: warranty, then the risk is entirely yours.

The seller is an watchmaker at the swatchnordicgroup, I guess this is a watch he's selling after a customer got it "wet", and didn't want to pay the costs to repair it.

He said that he could give me one year warranty..

: So make sure you are getting a sufficiently
: good deal on the watch to make that risk
: worthwile. Otherwise, why buy that one over
: a similar one that has never been damaged?

Yes, I agree, but there is not many like this available in Norway... The watch is two years old, the caliber one year, and the hole watch incl bracelet is brusted. He wants NOK8000 or ca 1050euros/dollars for it. In Norway it costs new twice as mutch.

: If it is the SAME Omega caliber movement, then
: it is certified the same way the original
: was. That model should--if I an reading the
: model number right--have an Omega 1120
: movement. So the replacement should be the
: exact same. -he proclaimed so.........

-My only consern is if this does the job, as godd as one with the "original" caliber???
