I completely agree. If looks are as important as quality, I think the Seamaster is the way to go...it certainly has a more substantial feel to it and the bracelet links are not hollowed out as they are in the sub. My Seamaster has shown wear only on the clasp and this easily buffs out with a nail buffer. The dial on the seamaster is also richly textured and catches peoples attention. The Rolex is a fine quality piece and I like mine very much but I hardly ever wear it because the Seamaster is such a novel design and just has more detail in the style.
Having said that, there are many people who haven't a clue what an Omega is...I had a young store clerk try to compliment my Seamaster the other day buy asking enthusiastically, "is that a Fossil?".
