Re: Watches - Tag/Rolex - Advice/Info????

: While I've never owned a Sub, I know to stay
: away from Tags, and to go with the Omega.
: You need to find an authorized dealer and
: look at all the watches. I gaurantee your
: opinion on the Seamaster changes. You can
: get GREAT discounts on Omegas and you are
: definatley getting more than what you pay
: for. Here's my logic: I paid $80.00 for a
: Fossil, it lasted me almost exactly a year
: (x-mas to x-mas), that's like paying 80.00 a
: year for a watch but if you buy an Omega for
: around $1500 (you can get a Seamaster for
: much less!) it's going to last you A LOT
: longer than 15 years.

: What is wrong with Tags? I have a Seamaster that is one year old and the thing looks like crap... I have tried to sell it but no one wants it... I even listed one time at $500 and once they saw the pic, they were like "no way." I now wear the Tag Link Chronograph Chronometer that I bought for $1000 off some idiot who had way too much money and I love it!! 6 mos old and it still looks "showroom" new... Omega is for suckers!!! Do not buy one. If you do, I will sell you mine for $400... that is about all it is worth!!!
