When I went to buy my Seamaster Pro (Bond model) I was nearly swayed by the 150th anniversary model. The electric blue of the face was very appealing to me.
However, I preferred the hands and the weight of the stainless steel "Bond" model. I must admit though, that I do like the blue face of my watch.
It's probably a toss up for me whether I like the 150th blue or the Bond blue better. Might have to buy the 150th anniversary model just to be safe!
Anyway, I think the waves are really interesting and provide a nice play of light on the face. And as one poster pointed out below they make the watch more unique looking.
I've been wondering what the face is made of too - good question for Omega - think I'll email them. My guess is that it isn't plastic, probably steel, would seem to fit with the rest of the watch's quality.
Not sure I'd like a black face on my watch but am looking forward to Omega bringing it out - more choices for everyone.
Enjoy your new watch !
