Re: Seamaster purchase-questions before I buy

I would check out worldwatches.com or http://www.watchesonnet.com/
the latter may not be operating yet but they operate on ebay. I have purchased from both of them and both are good. but the latter gave me a better price than listed..
: I am considering the purchase of a Seamaster
: 300m automatic. I m looking for a new watch,
: w/ serial numbers intact and a clean title.
: I have found several internet dealers
: (Ashford, prestigetime, etc.) offering
: decent savings. Are these dealers reputable?

: Also, how important is the Omega warranty? What
: is the downside of not having it? It appears
: that I can't get the Omega warranty from
: these dealers. I looked at an Omega
: retailer, and I must admit that I don't
: really want to pay full retail for the watch
: if a decent bargain can be found elsewhere.

: Essentially, I am looking for a decent deal on
: a new watch, and I don't want to get ripped
: off. Any advice? Thanks in advance for your
: help.

: By the way, this forum is great. There are some
: very knowledgeable people out there.
