Do NOT buy based on future value....

You shouldn't buy a watch for the value it may have someday. Watches depreciate greatly. If you are looking for an investment, go to a bank and talk to a financial advisor. Buy which one makes you happy. If you want to talk future value, think sentimental. What do you think will mean more to YOU later down the road.

I have handled both quartz and auto versions of the AT and I personally didn't notice anything, however I wasn't paying attention to the possible differences in weight.

Hope that helps.

: I want to thank all for the insight. From what
: I am getting, and it appears consistent
: throughout the discussions I have had
: personally and have read, the Auto v. Quartz
: is a personal decision.

: What of the value of either piece. I have heard
: that an auto will keep its value better than
: a quartz. Is this true or a "sales
: pitch"??

: Also, and I know that this is obsessive, but
: with the internal mechanics, is there any
: noticable weight difference between the Auto
: and Quartz?

: Again, thanks for your help on this.

: S
