Re: close call!
In Response To: close call! ()

I get the willies just thinking about that :-(

: I went out tonight to work on my car (putting
: in a new exhaust system) and carefully took
: off my 3 week old bond and wrapped it in a
: clean rag and put it on the workbench. Well,
: I was working with my two boys, and we got
: in a tight spot and I grabbed the rag on the
: bench and listened to the sickening sound of
: a fine watch hitting the concrete floor.
: Sounded like it landed on the crystal. I
: slowly walked over and picked it up and it
: had hit on its side, just south of the
: helium release valve. Other than about a
: half dozen small pits (no dents) in the case
: it seems to be ok.

: I seem to do more damage to things by being
: careful than I do by just wearing them. I
: lost my late father's wedding ring by taking
: it off before I played baseball. Maybe there
: is a lesson here!

: In any case, I am one lucky Omega owner!

: Tim
