I just bought my 2561.80 from Ashford and was very satisfied by the whole experience. The watch was heavily discounted, there was no sales tax (which can be substantial at a jeweler), and shipping was free. The watch came "new in box" with serial numbers intact, and the red dot on the case back showed that it had not been opened after it left the factory.
Over the holidays I bought several gifts for my family from Ashford and everything went smoothly.
In short, I recommend buying from Ashford. The only thing you don't get is the factory 1 yr. warranty. Ashford covers this with their own 3 yr. warranty. You have to decide if the factory warranty is worth ~$600. It's a no-brainer for me. I hate dealing with jewelers anyway.
