Seamaster steel bracelet - availability

Hi, I have an old (around 1960) Seamaster De ville which my Dad left me. I don't wear it much now, as I have a Dynamic and a co-axial GMT (my pride and joy). I would wear it more often if it had a steel bracelet, rather than the leather Omega strap I put on it some years ago. At the time I was told that steel bracelets for the watch were unavailable. Does anyone know whether or not this is the case? If you can still get them, could anyone suggest where I might get one from (new or pre-owned) either in the UK or on the 'net. Many thanks.
