No, It's not that !
I need to know the time of battery left because I can be in a place where changing the battery is impossible.
I need to know if I risk to stay out of battery in that situation, since I can only know the battery is weak when the second hand starts to jump 4 seconds, and if that happens when I'm in the middle of nowhere, how long will it be for me to stay without batt. One week ? One day ?
