Changed the date on my at 9PM and caused problems!

Hello,

Help! Did I screw up my movement? Here's the story...

I changed the date on my Seamaster Pro at 9:00PM on the dot last month. My manual says don't change it after 9PM... the Omega site says don't change it after 10PM... either way, it was only 9 o'clock.

Well, after I changed the date, as I turned the crown to screw it down, I heard a soft but NOT NORMAL 'clicking' noise.

I waited anxiously till midnight. The date DID NOT CHANGE. So, I pulled the crown and ran the watch forward 24 hours... and then it clicked over (and within one minute of midnight as it always does). Phew! I thought all was well again. But...

The 'clicking' sound is still there if I should pull the crown and turn it, either to wind it manually or when screwing the crown back in. Also...

My watch used to run about 1 second fast per day, on average. This was its behavior for 2 solid years, and I loved it. NOW, the darn thing loses about 20 seconds a week. That's a BIG SHIFT!

WHAT HAPPENED? I did not do anything against Omega's recommendations. Also, I find it hard to believe the mechanism is so susceptible to such severe damage from this. I understand if I changed the date at 11:55PM, but it was only 9:00PM!

Should I have my watch serviced? If so, where and how? Will it cost me a lot?

Thanks so much for any help. These forums are terrific.
