Co-Axial is an escapement, not a movement. *LINK*

Master watchmaker George Daniel used co-axial
escapement instead of lever escapement to reduce
friction which is the worst enemy of a watch.
Co-axial uses less oil and prolonge the service
intervals. Usually an autmatic watch should be
serviced every five years, but in co-axial's case
it's expected to be ten years, which is of course
remains to be seen. Omega claims co-axial watches
will remain more accurate in the long run than watches equipped with conventional lever escapement.

I never heard any problem with co-axial AT . I've a 35 mm black dial AT, works great and very happy with it. Having said that co-axial had indeed
problems with the first batch of watches in 1999.
Problems were over oiling the escapement and the
height of the movement. Since then Omega corrected
the problems and co-axials're working flawlessly.

It's easy to switch from bracelet to strap. I do it often. I don't know what do mean by regualr spring bar tool, I guess any spring bar tool will
work on Omega. Anyway below the link of spring bar tool(FB-504) I use. I'm sure you'll be happy with AT.
Good luck.

Cheers,
Ishrar
