Used Omega Seamaster *PIC*

Hello,

I picked up this Omega Seamaster (see picture) in Argentina. I am trying to date the watch. It has a sweeping movement on the second hand that appears to move in 1/4 second intervals. Roughly how old is this watch. The antique shop that sold it to me said maybe from 1948, but that was just the first year of the omega, I believe.

Also, if anyone can tell me anything about the color on the face/dial of the watch, I would appreciate it.

P.S. It runs about 7 seconds fast per day and I paid $100 for it. The bezel is scratched and could be replaced too.
