SeMP inside lug damage

I own a one and a half year old 007 chronometer which I have switched the bracelet on and off in leiu of a dive strap (waterborne) with some frequency using Frei Borels quality spring bar tool and I almost always replace the spring bars with new each time I switch the strap. Well the "PROBLEM"
is I have developed some deep scratches almost gouges on the inside of the lugs. Is this common? is it anything to be worried about? I would guess that vintage watches must have a ton of these marks "damage" left over from the years of strap changes but I have done this unnecessary damage in a short time and wanted to keep this watch for a long time. I have a fair amount of normal wear scratches on the bracelet which I am dissappointed with however I expect that sort of wear since I always wear my watch aside from mowing the lawn. I remember on cheap watches when I was little the lug holes could literally be stripped out leaving the watch dead for future attachement attempts. Is titanium better in this regard it seems the stainless is some what soft if I can cause this damage with a spring bar tool or is it superficial. Am I being a WIS and looking for an excuse to buy a differnt Omega. My main question in this is have I literally caused damage to my watch sorry I have no photos. like my auto movement I prefer 35mm thus can't as easily provide a photo fr evaluation.
