SMP Pro Midsize or Speedy Day-Date?

Hi everyone,

I really need your opinion on the following matter...

Today, I went to my local dealer to try one last time the Bond Seamaster Pro Automatic (2251.80) before ordering it with Keith's dealer... I really can't go for the full-size because my wrist is too small at 5.75"...So I thought I was pretty much stuck mith the SMP midsize...

But, to my surprise, the dealer had a Speedmaster Day-Date, the one with the blue dial (3523.80). This watch is just a bit bigger than the SMP mid, but also smaller than the full-size. I must say I really like the look of that watch with all those features.

The thing is, that being canadian, this watch would end up almost 750$ more than the SMP, which I like a lot also. Also, even if it is Automatic the Speedy doesn't have the Chronometer appellation, I think.

My question is, what do you think is the better watch between those two?..I am a bit worried that the more complex movement of the Speedy would be more fragile and prone to breakage..Also, maybe it is not me, but the Speedy os more towards the bottom of the Speedmaster line, so maybe it is not as good a quality as the SMP, which I know has a very good proven movement. Also, with that price difference do you think it is worth it?.....Also, please keep in mind this will be a watch I will wear everyday for work and all...

Please pardon me if it was a bit long, but I am really confused now...Almos wish I didnt see the speedy at all as my mind was already made on the SMP...

Thanks for helping...

Hugues
