Re: Seamaster "Bond" model appearance

: GQ's "Style Guy" says that a sports
: watch should not be worn with a suit or for
: any formal occasion. The Bond Seamaster fits
: into that category since it is technically a
: diver's watch. He also said that he's a bit
: of a traditionalist in that sense, and that
: many people today do ignore this rule. I
: mean, why can't you wear a $1750 Omega
: Seamaster with a suit that probably cost
: less than the watch?

: I have worn my Bond Seamaster with suits on
: many occasions, and I have never received
: anything but compliments on the watch. If
: people can wear novelty ties depicting their
: favorite football team, I see no reason why
: one can't wear a very classy watch, even if
: it does technically fall into the
: "sports watch" category.

: FYI...The Style Guy did say that one of the
: benefits of a watch like this is that it is
: so versatile. It can be worn with dress
: casual clothes or with jeans and a t-shirt.

My wife agrees with all the above. With black tie
I wear the Omega Moon Watch. It looks great and I need an easy to read watch.
