Speedmaster Reduced or Speedmaster Pro (moonwatch)

Hi,

I'm thinking of purchasing a moonwatch but it's too expensive so I might opt for a Reduced for now. The moonwatch is selling for $4000 (Australian Dollar) and the Reduced is $2000. Has anyone ever had problems with either one of them ? Which is a better watch ? Should I buy a moonwatch as my first Omega ? I have never owned a Omega so I dislike to spend $4000 on something I hardly know, but if the moonwatch is much more superior than the Reduced then I would consider buying it this time. I want a watch that would last a lifetime.

Your input would be much appreciated, thanks !
