Omega or.....

Greetings,

I hope I'm not committing sacrilege, but I could use some informed opinion.

I'm going to be purchasing an automatic chronograph in the very near future, and it gets a bit confusing looking at the not unsubstantial investment required vs. the choices out there. The ones still in the running are the Omega Speedmaster 3513.50, a Breitling, and a Tag Heuer Link. Of those 3, the Omega is substantially less expensive. I've browsed through this forum a bit, and I understand this purchase is as much emotional as practical, but is there any practical difference(s) among those 3 brands?

Does it ultimately come down to which one looks cooler, is more comfortable, etc.? Does maintenance cost/availability enter into the choice? This will be a one-time thing for me, and I just don't want to make an expensive mistake.

Any enlightenment will be most appreciated.
Regards,
Barry
