My wife loves her Constellation Mini *PIC*
In Response To: An Omega for the wife... ()

This year I bought my wife the Constellation Mini quartz, gold-steel (full-bar) with mother-of-pearl dial.

I was a bit reluctant to spend so much on a quartz watch, but I took Zowie's advice to heart... what you are really paying for in a luxury watch is the jewelry value. And indeed, this watch is beautiful jewelry.

The Mini is very small, but my wife is quite petite and prefers small watches. As for the day-to-day set-it-and-forget-it quartz, nothing could have been a better choice. She can wear it every day or once a week, and never worry about it.

The brushed steel and gold look goes equally well with casual or dressy situations. I find the watch catching my eye when she wears it out to a formal dinner, or even just peeking out from underneath her sweatshirt cuff.

Also, the presentation box is gorgeous. Omega does a terrific job in this regard. It makes for quite a special gift.

Oh yes, one more thing: I bought this easy-to-live-with quartz Omega for my non-watch-enthusiast wife, and guess what... it didn't take long for her to start checking out the mechanical ladies' watch options out there! (From other manufacturers though, as unfortunately Omega has so little to offer for petite wrists in a mechanical watch).

Sorry for the long post. Hope this helps in your search.
