my understanding of the steel
In Response To: Omega Vs. Rolex ()

: The construction of the Omega is lower grade
: than the Rolex. The Omega uses lower grade
: steel that is softer and easier to corrode
: and mar. The bracelet is constructed with
: friction pins that are weaker and are not as
: functional as the screws used in the Rolex
: bracelet.

my understanding is that the steel is actually of the same hardness. but rolex's steel is more resistant to corrosion from certain acids... though i'm not sure why your watch would be subjected to such conditions. and the rolex steel costs quite a bit more than omega's steel grade. so make of it what you will and correct me if i'm wrong.
