In Response To: Do you own both? ()

: Another question. How many people on this foum
: own both an Omega and a Rolex? Why? Which
: did you buy first?

A ROLEX was my first really nice watch. Bought a SS DateJust back in the early 1980s for $900. Still like that watch and will keep it forever. Wore it daily for years. Though seldom ever had anyone notice I was wearing one.

It was when I wanted another really nice watch that the pricing of ROLEX turned me away. Just could not justify the difference. Ended up taking a fancy to the Breitling Aerospace and bought one. Enjoyed that watch for several years, but eventually tired of it. Mainly needed something more conservative, less techy, so more to the ROLEX end of the styling spectrum.

Then ended up discovering OMEGA. Now have 5 of them.

Could easily have bought another ROLEX, but continue to find the OMEGAs to be more distinctive. I actually get compliments on my OMEGA watches and can have several to fit different clothing and needs!
