People buy Omega because they like Omega, not because it's cheaper. You don't spend thousands on a watch that you don't want.
Why would Omega make a feature people don't use, you say? Why does any company make a mechanical movement when quartz is more reliable, more accurate, more durable, and cheaper? It's NOT about practicality. It's about a visible feature that people find "interesting." I don't hear you criticizing the automatic HRV on the Dweller. And that has the same purpose.
